Day 25 ~ November 29, 2008
Please pray as God leads you for all those involved with the death of a Wal-Mart employee, stampeded as the doors opened on Black Friday. (Go here for FoxNews story.) And here's a site that tells of someone miscarrying because of the stampede...so that's two deaths.
There have been many "Crime of the Century" type incidents this year; but THIS is abhorring...that someone's life was lost because of raw greed...and for what? Christmas gifts?
This is a national shame that ought to catapult us into taking some kind of action...and I don't mean just a Black Friday boycott.
I have some ideas and will be looking to see if others think along the same line, so that we can DO something about this. Wal-Mart (and ALL retail stores) should be forced to forfeit Black Friday in sympathy and in honor of...and to PREVENT someone losing their life due to greed. There HAS to be a way.

Today I pray for the spouses of the President- and Vice President-Elect, asking that they will seek Your will as they decide the causes and concerns to which they will give their time, energy and attention. Guide them to the issues You desire they lift up, and may they choose wisely so that Your will can be accomplished in their efforts. In Jesus’ holy name, amen.
