Days 89-90 ~ I Will Be and Will Bring You Home

The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. ~ Proverbs 18:10

Father God,
Your mercy and grace is with us all the time because of Your covenant with us. You are our strong tower and we can run to You always and all ways.
And as we run toward You, we find that You are already there with Your arms open wide...ready, if not waiting, to meet us.
May we find our rest in You in the days ahead as You continue to bring Your word to pass.
May we be found ready...sensitive to the seasons as they change...contending for the faith with a heart that says "Here am I...send me"...occupying until Jesus comes and You bring us Home.
In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Psalm 50

A Psalm of Asaph.

 ¹ The Mighty One, God the LORD,
         Has spoken and called the earth
         From the rising of the sun to its going down.
 ² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
         God will shine forth.
 ³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent;
         A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.
 ⁴ He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people:
 ⁵ “Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
 ⁶ Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge.  Selah  
 ⁷ “Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God!
 ⁸ I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me.
 ⁹ I will not take a bull from your house, Nor goats out of your folds.
 ¹⁰ For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
 ¹¹ I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine.
 ¹² “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.
 ¹³ Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
 ¹⁴ Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High.
 ¹⁵ Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
 ¹⁶ But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth,
 ¹⁷ Seeing you hate instruction and cast My words behind you?
 ¹⁸ When you saw a thief, you consented^[a] with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers.
 ¹⁹ You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit.
 ²⁰ You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.
 ²¹ These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you,
         And set them in order before your eyes.
²² “Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver:
 ²³ Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.”

Psalm 91

¹He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

 ²I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

 ³Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

 ⁴He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

 ⁵Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

 ⁶Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

 ⁷A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

 ⁸Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

 ⁹Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

 ¹⁰There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

 ¹¹For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

 ¹²They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

 ¹³Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

 ¹⁴Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

 ¹⁵He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

 ¹⁶With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
