King Jehoshaphat was an awesome king who followed the Lord. But he made his mistakes, too. His sin was compromising with Ahab, which opened Judah up to danger. He got back on track with the Lord, and took action for Judah's safety. For details, see 2 Chronicles 17-20; he's also covered in 1 Kings and 2 Kings.
2 Chronicles 20:2-12
2 Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, "A vast army is coming against
you from Edom, from the other side of the Sea. It is already in
Hazazon Tamar" (that is, En Gedi).
3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to
inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.
4 The
people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they
came from every town in Judah to seek him. [emphasis mine]
5 Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the LORD in the front of the new courtyard 6 and said:
Oh, yes, Lord...our eyes are most definitely upon You.

A moment of silence for the unborn...for those who've lost their lives
for the cause of freedom...for those who've given their lives
contending for the Faith.
May abortion and pornography be brought to a halt...may the lives of our soldiers never be lost in vain...may the inner strength wrought in Faith's contenders live in us.

Daily Promise
Blue Letter Bible
Reflection
How true it is that though we presently toil under a curse, sowing in tears upon this earth, it is in our hope of heavenly promise that we bask, joyful and content. Our earthly suffering is for but a moment! And truly—it is even now working for us who believe, a far and exceeding weight of glory! Rejoice, therefore, in the sweat of your brow and the pain in your side for these do but serve to focus your eyes heavenward to the consuming glory of promise!
Father God, let this mind be in me, which was also in Christ...the mind that thinks with Your perspective in place...let my mind be renewed in Your Holy Spirit.
As David asked, please create in me a new heart and renew a right spirit within me.
Thank You for making me the apple of Your eye.
In Jesus' name, amen.

Psalm 122:6-7 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
May she find help and strength in the Lord in her time of need.
Matthew 5:43-45 Pray for your enemies; pray for Israel's enemies
43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 6:9-13 Pray for you and your family, friends, neighbors (and enemies, too)
9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

A moment of silence for the unborn, for those who've lost their lives in service to our country, and for those who've given their lives in Christian martyrdom.

Reflection
Even now the believer tastes the fruit of this glorious promise. Since our life and soul are caught up in the very life and soul of our Lord Jesus Christ, we gain every conceivable blessing! And as even now we are reigning at the Lord's right hand in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), so then shall those who are of the name of the Lord reign in majesty and honor at His glorious coming! Rejoice in the Lord's goodness, O people of God!~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Father God, I ask that You would bless each member of this prayer team, their co-workers, co-laborers, their family, their church family...bless them with all spiritual blessings in abundance, according to Your word and Your will.
Please continue to work in me, Father,...in all of us... in such a way as I can know how to honor my commitment to pray with PPT even though I disagree with their position. ~ in Jesus' name, amen.
